I have rebuilt the package with the --enable-pango option. Now jwm -v compiled options look like: confirm icons jpeg nls pango png shape svg xbm xft xinerama xpm xrender
instead of: confirm icons jpeg nls png shape svg xbm xft xinerama xpm xrender After rebuilding the package with pango enabled, my broken fonts issue was gone.
