Hi, this issue was resolved many years ago by ifenslave-2.6 providing hooks in if-[up|down].d. I was about to close this, but first I think ifupdown should add a "Suggests: ifenslave", as it currently does for similar integration packages for ppp, dhcp and icmpv6.
