This appears to be a problem with the Matlab installer providing its own versions of libraries rather than libharfbuzz0b. Please see: https://uk.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/364551-why-is-matlab-unable-to-run-the-matlabwindow-application-on-linux for workarounds. Best regards, Dave
