Dear Maintainer, approx got sensitive to lines in /etc/approx/approx.conf which are empty except of spaces. This did not harm previous approx versions. Unfortunately there is no error message in journal: Started app...@347-xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9999-xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:47158.service - caching proxy server for Debian archive files (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:47158). app...@347-xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9999-xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:47158.service: Deactivated successfully. The error message seems just to get delivered to the requester: $ wget --quiet --tries=1 -O- http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9999/debian-12-bookworm-deb.debian.org Fatal error: exception Failure("malformed line in /etc/approx/approx.conf: ") Version 5.12-1 seems also affected. Removing my spaces-only lines made approx 5.12-1 work again.
