Package: lightdm Version: 1.26.0-8 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: stefan.tau...@gmx.at
Dear Maintainer, since I am using autologin (because I am using FDE and have to unlock the OS before boot anyway) there are usually only two ways to interact with the lightdm: after locking the session with xflock4 and after resuming from standby. While the UI behaves as I which after locking manually it does not when resuming: I'd like to simply enter my password to unlock the session after resume but the UI is blank in that case instead of having the username predefined and the focus on the password field. Objectively, this is a minor thing but for me it's about 50% of my interactions :) It's also a regression IMhO - at least in Debian 10 this worked perfectly (I kinda skipped 11). I presume the behavior is due to lightdm itself but maybe it is because of how the session gets locked when entering suspend (which is via systemctl suspend)? The only changes I made to lightdm.conf are setting autologin-user to my username and autologin-user-timeout=0. This is a pretty fresh install of Bookworm.
