Package: apt-listchanges Version: 3.27 Severity: normal As discussed in #1052697.
When a source package is renamed (e.g. gcc-* and python3.*), often we carry across the old changelog. apt-listchanges then includes the full history in its list of new changelog entries. In these particular cases, the old history maintains the old source package name and version, so it should be possible to check the database and see that these changelog entries have been displayed. One can argue that it's correct to re-display the full history, but this has the effect of drowning out other changelog entries. When I hit these situation, I just mark-as-read and continue. If there was anything important in other changelogs, I'd miss it.
