Hi, the rsyslog shipped in Bookworm no longer installs SysV init scripts.

While that is maintainer prerogative; it is a regression on default upgrade
path from Bullseye for all non-systemd init users which are silently left
without running syslog deamon (and all associated issues stemming from that).

(The fact that Bookworm release-notes do not mention that is not helping
either, but that is another issue).

Could we kindly indicate that end-of-sysV-support in rsyslog's NEWS.Debian
(per
https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/best-pkging-practices.html#supplementing-changelogs-with-news-debian-files),

and point users of non-default init systems to orphan-sysvinit-scripts package?

Thank you for your consideration,
Matija
