Sorry, but to be honest: I have no idea.  IIRC, back when I reported
this bug I sent the corrupted archive to the maintainer.  I may still
be able to dig it out from somewhere.  But I doubt it's any more
relevant than somebody using a fuzz testing program to seed repository
files with and feeding that to a CVS server, then using a CVS client
to get that server to balk.  Bug exposure techniques certainly have
improved since five years ago, back when I reported my first Debian bug?
