This is not appropriate. You have apparently not done any kind of check to see whether this bug still exists and you give no reason to think that it doesn't still exist in Tcl 8.4. Could you please provide me with a list of all of the bugs you have closed for this spurious reason so that I can take a look and review them individually ? Next time please do not do blanket closures like this. Ian.
