Hi,
I had the same problem with xjewel that does not accept any keyboard input.
I just accidentally found that all you need to do is to turn off the Number
Lock on your keyboard to make it work.

I _could_ also reproduce this bug on Lenny/amd64
But then I ran aptitude reinstall xjewel
And it works...
Even though aptitude reports installing the same version... Preparing
to replace xjewel 1.6-23 with xjewel_1.6-23_amd64.deb.
