Package: slapd
Version: 2.1.30-3
Debian Sarge. When setting these parameters in /etc/default/slapd:
SLAPD_USER=ldap
SLAPD_GROUP=ldap
the slapd daemon runs as user "ldap" and works fine, but you will have
to kill slapd manually when running a:
/etc/init.d/slapd stop
Richard.
