Package: xbase-clients
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1
Severity: normal

If I'm running in an xsm session and the X server shuts down abnormally --
for instance, xsm or X crashes, or Ctrl-Alt-Backspace is pressed --
the .XSMlock file seems to hang around, resulting in xsm (silently!) locking
me out of the session I was using until I manually remove it. A preferable
solution would be a locking mechanism that is tied somehow to the xsm process
that holds the lock -- if that's not possible (eg, you want to lock sessions
over the network), then a prompt to break the lock or even just a message
about what happened would be nice.

  Daniel
