The various modes: linux, linux26, expert, expert26 were not documented. (Google was needed to find my way as the kernel 2.6 was needed for some of the hardware) I wanted to use evms (so if the google answer was correct I needed expert (expert26 in my case) but I did not managed to get it. I finally end up with MD+LVM without evms. To sum up : great job I can appreciate the improvement compare to an 8 months old woody install on nearly the same hardware that was much more difficult.
