Package: gaim Version: 1:1.2.0-2 Severity: normal Earlier today I needed to contact a coworker with resource "HomeOffice". At the same time he had the resource "DevOffice" set to Away because he wasn't at that office. However, gaim chose to send the message to DevOffice and provided no means of initiating a conversation to any other resource for a given user.
The UI needs to provide a way for the user to see all the available
resources and choose which one to send the messages to. The get-info
menu item shows the status for all resources. Perhaps the "expand"
action should list each resource separately in the buddy list, and
then double-clicking will select the one to initiate a conversation
with.
