Package: uw-imapd Version: 7:2002edebian1-9 Severity: normal I just upgraded from uw-imapd-ssl in woody to uw-imapd from unstable. I took the default answers to the new debconf questions, in particular, listen on imap2 and imaps, and do not "enforce port selection". My previous uw-imapd-ssl configuration listened on the same two ports in inetd.conf; however, after upgrading, there were no imap entries in inetd.conf. I'm guessing that the new package chose not to "enforce" the port selections, because I was upgrading. However, since this is the first time I saw the debconf questions, I expected my choices to be honored this time. When I changed my answer to the enforce question to yes, the lines were added to inetd.conf as expected.
It seems that this could trip people upgrading from woody, so it would be good to create a better transition. When upgrading from a pre-debconf version, the selected ports should probably be enforced unconditionally.
