it as the various suggestions made in the bug history lead to conclude
that the needed changes should be better left to the local

I disagree. Squid should be put in the right group, and the
winbindd_priv should have the group owner rights on the socket, with
permissions 750 as indicated (anything else will have winbindd abort(),
for the admin's own
