Just for the records: The release announcements got delayed as sourceforge, who are providing the servers for the announcements mailing list, had sent so much mail to GMX that their spam filter triggered on the mail volume and deferred the sourceforge.net sender address verification probe. It took a long time for sourceforge to verify my sender address and accept the announcement, much longer indeed than was desirable.
