Package: w3-url-e21
Version: 2001.11.08-8
Severity: important
Tags: patch

`url-retrieve-synchronously' sometimes locks up Emacs (beware: C-g
can become ineffective), for instance when retrieving a lot of images
(e.g. http://www.free.fr/). This is solved through backporting this
function from the URL package included in GNU Emacs CVS version.

A patch for this is included, in which the backport has only consisted
in removing in `url-retrieve-synchronously' two calls to `url-debug' (as
this function is not included in the Debian version of "url-util.el").
