Package: postfix
Version: 2.1.5-9

Dear sirs,
Thank you for developping debian and maintaining the packages.
I upgraded my 3.0 installation to 3.1. It is possible that I may have missed some dialog box during the installation.

Anyway, I got this error message in the mail log:
Jun 8 11:26:39 dican postfix/smtpd[17244]: warning: connect #4 to subsystem /var/spool/postfix/private/proxymap: No such file or directory

Then I uninstalled postfix and moved /etc/postfix -> /etc/postfix_old
and reinstalled the package.

Postfix would not work now either.
I then added the following lines to the main.cf file

setgid_group = postdrop
mail_owner = postfix
local_recipient_maps = unix:passwd.byname

anyway, after adding the last line, I could telnet localhost 25 and get the banner.

To do alias lookup I had to add the following line
virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases

It looks like I failed to get the mail proxy to work, and my fix is to access the data directly.

regards,

Magnus Sundberg
