Package: qemu Version: 0.7.0-2 Severity: normal Followup-For: Bug #318487 No, I'm certain it's a bug with the qemu package, because it actually closes down qemu with the "File size limit exceeded" error on the terminal and it happens on the two gigabyte boundary, which seems too suspicious to me. Windows 2000 does expose a bug with QEMU in which it suddenly uses a great deal of space, but as far as I know it simply fills the disk and doesn't unexpectedly terminate while disk space remains.
I have seen this problem with other tools as well, so I had a quick look into it and it seems it can be solved by an extra compilier option to increase the file size limit. In most cases this is unneccessary but I think the possible size of disk images with qemu makes it a pretty important addition. Hope this helps.
