The reason that directory doesn't exist (and scripts put in there
doesn't get executed) is because post-up is simply an alias for up.
Internally post-up gets translated/rewritten to up (and pre-down to down
IIRC).

Maybe a symlink named if-post-up.d could be shipped pointing to if-up.d
to make this more obvious (but on the other hand, introducing new
compatibility symlinks might need a better reason then this).
