Package: libsdl1.2debian
Version: 1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.3
Severity: important

During system installation, I selected ALSA sound system when I was
asked for it. However, I couldn't get audio out of an SDL app (dosbox).
After MUCH fiddling around, I found that "libsdl1.2debian-oss" was
installed, however the alternative "libsdl1.2debian-alsa" SHOULD be
installed.

I don't think it's ok for a user to have to dive into the
innards of library dependencies to find out that a wrong library was
installed automatically.

To be honest, dosbox audio now doesn't work either for my game in
question, but at least it has stopped telling me that it cannot open an
audio device.
