FWIW, I second the opinion that the part of unixodbc-dev
        depending on libodbcinstq1c2 should be split off the package.

        Unfortunately, as it appears, there're people who don't own nor
        have access to a sheer number of computers that they could do
        builds on, in order to relieve their servers of such tasks.

        As a quick & dirty hack, I've put the following dummy entry into
        my /var/lib/dpkg/status:

Package: libodbcinstq1c2
Status: install ok installed
Priority: optional
Section: libs
Version: 2.2.11-16

        So far, everything works fine.
