I used cplay_scrobbler[1] for some time. (git address has changed since
that blog entry[2])
I don't think this should be part of cplay itself but it would be nice
if there was a link in the docs or something.

I looked around a bit and I found a GPLv2 project
that provides python bindings for AudioScrobbler
(http://code.google.com/p/pyscrobbler/).
To submit a track, here's all the code that is needed:

preliminary research doesn't
