Hi kaimartin,
I'm going through some of the old Debian bug reports for the Inkscape
package. Please could you confirm whether you still experience the
problems you reported with fonts in the latest version of the Inkscape
package?

The font dialog messes the font style for some fonts. This is what happens
with the various styles:
Medium/Regular: The font style jumps to Bold when pressing the
apply button. Make default sets the default font style to
