On multiple machines, I get this problem.
My sources.list is thus:
deb ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib non-free
deb-src ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib non-free

When I

On my network of machines, apt-get update works fine on 4 of them,
fails on 2 of them.
The 4 working ones are 2.8GHz celerons, and the ones that fail are
2.8GHz xeons.
