Package: wxmaxima Version: 0.6.4-2 Followup-For: Bug #344627
Hi, this is not a bug. Infact, neither libwxgtk-2.6.0 and wxamxima wer released with sarge. To use wxmaxima on sarge, you should install both libwxgtk-2.6.0 and wxamxima from the testing distribution[1], or installing libwxgtk-2.6.0 from backports.debian.org and recompiling wxmaxima from source[2] However, I am planning to put on-line some backported wxmaxima packages in the near future. Ciao Ciao Marco [1] You can find detailed instructions on how to do it in the APT-Howto http://www.debian.org/doc/user-manuals#apt-howto [2] I think that a simple apt-build wxamxima should be fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to it_IT.UTF-8) Versions of packages wxmaxima depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.2-6 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.0.2-6 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libwxgtk2.6-0 2.6.1.2 wxWidgets Cross-platform C++ GUI t ii libxml2 2.6.23-1 GNOME XML library ii maxima 5.9.2-2 A fairly complete computer algebra ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-9 compression library - runtime wxmaxima recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
