Package: kernel-package
Version: 10.018
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

NEWS.Debian for 10.023 says that "any hook scrips called from the
kernel hooks shuold not write to STDOUT". This discourages update-grub
from being used as a kernel hook which I guess is probebly the most
heavily used kernel hook script.

I'd appreciate a way of continuing this practice, especially on stable.

Greetings
Marc
