Package: scalable-cyrfonts-tex
Version: 4.8
Severity: normal

There is an entry in the file
/etc/texmf/map/dvips/scalable-cyrfonts-tex.map
which points to font name ftmr6r.pfb. But no font with the given
name is provided by this package (nor by its dependencies).
The following lines illustrate what I mean:

$ grep ftmr6r.pfb /etc/texmf/map/dvips/scalable-cyrfonts-tex.map
ftmro6r NimbusRomanCYR-ReguCyrTeX " .167 SlantFont TeXBaseCyrillic
ReEncodeFont " <6r.enc <ftmr6r.pfb

Due to the issue described above I have problems with pdflatex-ing when
using cyrtimes package is used:
1) pdflatex produces a warning:
Warning: pdflatex (file ftmr6r.pfb): cannot open Type 1 font file for
reading
2) When I open the resulting .pdf file (with acroread ) - an error message
is displayed:
The font ftmro6r contains a bad /BBox

As a workaround for the problem I replace the "bad" filename ftmr6r.pfb with
ftmr6w.pfb and refresh the fonts map with updmap.

I'm not sure if the entry in scalable-cyrfonts-tex.map should be fixed
(i.e. hint.awk in the sources) or a missing font should be provided...
