Package: libgphoto2-2
Version: 2.1.6-6
Severity: normal

Hi,

It seems libgphoto2-2 with udev does not support the Canon IXUS 750, at
least in the sense that the device is not getting permissions for the
camera group, and so gphoto2 must be used as root.

Adding the following line to /etc/udev/rules.d/025_libgphoto2.rules
fixes it for me:

  # Canon Digital IXUS 750 (PTP mode)
  SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="3116",
RUN+="/etc/hotplug/usb/libgphoto2"

I presume this is something that needs to be included in the output of
/usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-udev-rules.

The relevant section of /proc/bus/usb/devices is:

  T:  Bus=03 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 12 Spd=480 MxCh= 0
  D:  Ver= 2.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs=  1

Thanks - Ben.
