No. I mean the sync call in /etc/power/scripts.d/hdsetup.

But I think you mean Suspend-to-disk, don't you? I
added a call to sync() before calling any suspend
mode so that the upcomming version 0.7.5 will fix
your problem.

Hi,
after heavy disc access a sync call can take 10 seconds or more. Due to
the CmdTimeout setting in pbbuttons.conf the suspend script get killed.
Because you maintain the hdparm scipt I would suggest to increase the
CmdTimeout value or pbbut
