Let me see if I understood correctly this. I'm trying to reproduce this with current sid (7:6.3.7.9.dfsg1-3) version.
I clicked on 'File->Open->Grab' . I selected an area. This worked. If I try this again, after File->Open->Grab I get an 'x:' in 'File name' box. If I remove the 'x:', the function works as is expected. If I leave the 'x:', I get an error: 'no window with specified ID exists `/x:`: Resource temporarily unavailable' And display crashes. Is this your problem? Is the 'delete-x:-workaround' helps you? luciano
