Package: ifupdown Version: 0.6.7 Severity: normal Running 'ifup eth0' in a folder on a mounted filesystem makes it impossible to umount that filesystem without stopping dhclient first. This is because dhclient keeps the present working directory open, and thus the filesystem is busy and cannot be umounted. After running 'ifup eth0' in the /mnt folder, 'lsof' contains the following line:
dhclient 5763 root cwd DIR 3,1 4096 765537 /mnt Best regards, TMS -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages ifupdown depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.72 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii net-tools 1.60-17 The NET-3 networking toolkit ifupdown recommends no packages. -- debconf information: ifupdown/convert-interfaces: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
