dpkg-multicd installs dpkg-scanpackages in /usr/bin (as dpkg) and its manpage in /usr/share/man/man8/, while dpkg installs its manpage in /usr/share/man/man1/. Thus the dpkg man page is displayed, even if the dpkg-multicd script is used. I think dpkg-multicd should install its man page in /usr/share/man/man1/, and divert /usr/share/man/man1/dpkg-scanpackages.1.gz Maybe something should be done for the translated man pages (divertion to null?).
