Package: skencil
Version: 0.6.17-3
Severity: normal

Hi Daniel,

as you likely know better than myself, skencil ships with a library Pax
which in turn contians their own _tkinter fork.
Leaving aside the question of whether or not this is still needed or a
good idea, the implementation of wantobjects in paxtkinter.Tkapp isn't
correct (looking at the changelog, I'm not surprised ;) ).
The correct behaviour is to have the argument only optionally and return
the "value" of wantobjects when called without it.
The bug bites when e.g. plugins use Tkinter functions which in turn call
paxtkinter (e.g. the graph plugin advertised on skencil.org uses
tkFileDialog which produces such errors).
It seems that the upstream development branch doesn't use this anymore,
so just fixing the method might be the best thing to do.

Kind regards

T.

P.S.: Are there debs (or a /debian dir) for the development series?
