Package: imagemagick
Version: 7:6.2.4.5-0.8
Severity: important
Regression.
When using gray:test.raw containing a grayscale image of the listed
size, I get an all-black window. Same for converting to an image then
displaying the image. Reverting to 6.0.6 (below) fixes the problem.
display -depth 8 -size 256x300 gray:test.raw
convert -depth 8 -size 256x300 gray:test.raw test.gif
From working package:
$ display -version
Version: ImageMagick 6.0.6 01/18/05 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2004 ImageMagick Studio LLC
This broke a number of my scripts that process grayscale raw data dumps
of numerous outputs into .gif and .png images for exporting. I'm sure
this is an upstream bug but I'm filing it here to remind me to find it
and patch it. Strangely enough, converting to some formats works while
others does not.
