Just wanted to make a disclaimer: I was running not debian stock kernel: 2.6.17-rc6-mm2 should I try stock one -- would it help to track down the issue? (I will need to use kernel-patch-2.6-reiser4 though) -- .-. =-- /v\ --

Ha ha! Just wanted to share my experience... by poking around I've decided to try pccardctl suspend/resume... and you know -- that brought my modem online and bounded it to serial_cs Socket 0: 5.0V 16-bit PC Card Subdevice 0 (function 0) bound to driver "serial_cs" so whenever I eject/insert

Package: pcmciautils Version: 013-2 Severity: normal I kept trying to make my card at least being visible... Just can't - doesn't appear anywhere (udevinfo is just blank on pcmcia). only effect of having it inside is > sudo pccardctl status Socket 0: 5.0V 16-bit PC Card can be that my 2.6.17-rc
