gmp fails to build from source on m68k due to a bug in gcc-4.1. The workaround is to build with -O0. Since we need gmp to build the toolchain, I'm going to binNMU it built with -O0. Fortunately, that's a one character change in debian/rules, since m68k already has a special case setup. If you do another upload before gcc gets fixed, would you please build it -O0 on m68k?
