This have been checked out, but it will add 30+ library dependencies to
cssed, just using gnome-vfs.

It may be OK to Gnome users but it may upset KDE ones.

Cssed is right now a pure GTK+ application with low requirements -
around 8.5 Mb including the full Gtk+ toolkit. Gnome-vfs itself amounts
6/7 Mb so it almost doubles the dependencies size.

May be gnome-vfs support will be added as an option so packagers may
choose to build Cssed with url support or not.

For this to happen I'd like to see some interest on it so don't hesitate
on yelling and moaning in the cssed mailing list, or mailing me
privately.

If I see some interest on gnome-vfs support, I will add it as an
optional configure setting.

Please notice that it's an upstream issue - so my fault - and Debian
mantainers can do little to fix it.
