Here's an init.d file for xmms2d which will let you start/stop xmms2d
for a defined set of users, modelled on the init.d script for openvpn.
You can use:
/etc/init.d/xmms2d start sounds
To start xmms2d for the user "sounds". Likewise:
/etc/init.d/xmms2d stop sounds
To have it autosta

In my eyes xmms2d is not that kind of daemon that can be considered a
system-wide service. Therefor I don't really see why it should have an
init.d script.
