Package: xloadimage
Version: 4.1-16
Severity: important

  Hello !

I'm using xloadimage with the -onroot option to have a permanent diaporama on
the background.
However, I found that after a certain time, all the X clients crash with the
following output

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached

I tracked the problem back to xloadimage: when I run xloadimage -onroot a big
number of times (say
300), the above error message appears. This is however not the case for other X
clients (such as
xlsclient). I believe that under the -onroot option, the client connection is
not closed properly.

I tagged the bug important as it strongly affects the usability of X servers
(at least for me).

Thanks for considering this report !

        Vincent Fourmond

PS: I'll try to find the problem, if I have time.
