Package: dvbstream Version: 0.6+cvs20060501-2 Severity: normal
dvbstream v0.6 is giving up too early in trying to find a signal; maybe in better conditions this is ok, but with my older card this is a regression and makes it not work for me at all. Note: I had to backport the package to sarge to make it run on the machine with the DVB-T card in it. dvbstream v0.6 - (C) Dave Chapman 2001-2004 Released under the GPL. Sometimes it needs up to about 10 iterations to arrive at the FE_HAS_SIGNAL state, though this seems to have improved with newer kernels. According to http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/WinTV-NOVA-T_PCI taking some time for tuning is perfectly normal for this card.
