Package: synaesthesia Version: 2.4-1 Severity: normal With xwindows running, I did ALT CTL F1 to go to plain /dev/tty1 where there is TERM=linux and no X* environment variables, and did # su - # mpg123 -s song.mp3 |synaesthesia pipe 44100 as an experiment.
I then heard 2 seconds of the song, and the screen became full of squares, and I tried hitting every key, even the SysRq stuff of linux-doc-2.6.17/Documentation/sysrq.txt.gz ... nothing worked.
