Keith Packard tried to fix it, but looks like it is still an issue - upgrading cache from version 2.3 to 2.4. I fixed this by: mv /etc/fonts/cache.d /etc/fonts/cache.d.bak apt-get install --reinstall fontconfig/unstable -- Regards, Gregory Smirnov 2X - Thin client computing software
