IF-MIB::ifInOctets and ifOutOctets do not increment except for lo or show the same value for all interfaces (the value of the first if). This problem seems to manifest only over the wire. Same problem is reported by several users of net-snmp 5.1.2 on x86_64 platforms.( http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=36566214 ) Correct output on localhost : www:~# snmpwalk -v2c -c ****** localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.1 = Counter32: 122904317 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.2 = Counter32: 10431637148 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.3 = Counter32: 0 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.4 = Counter32: 0 Incorrrect output on remote server using same debian release for x86 monitor:~# snmpwalk -v2c -c ****** REMOTE_HOST 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.1 = Counter32: 122796743 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.2 = Counter32: 122796743 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.3 = Counter32: 0 IF-MIB::ifInOctets.4 = Counter32: 0 (comunity has been replaced by ****** for security purposes, same goes for REMOTE_HOST, same problem applies for ifOutOctets) Sugestion would be to upgrade the net-snmp package to version 5.3.1 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
