The system clock is set to local time (checked in bios). I chose the correct timezone in the installer and UTC was set to NO. I have had this problem with installs from the di-beta3 cd and weekly build (20061009). The output of date was correct after reboot eg: ls -l / ... drwxr-xr-x 12 root root 4096 2006-11-09 01:38 usr drwxr-xr-x 14 root root 4096 2006-11-09 01:45 var lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 2006-11-09 01:36 vmlinuz -> boot/vmlinuz-2.6.16-2-k7 navi:/# date Wed Nov 8 15:53:04 EST 2006 This is a bit of a problem. In the case of weekly(20061009) it prevents fc-cache -f from running properly until 10 hours after the install (which prevents ttf-opensymbol from installing, which prevents openoffice from installing). I assume the 10 hours is due to me being at GMT+10. Joel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
