im-switch puts a startup script in /etc/X11/Xsession.d, called 80im-switch. In earlier versions this was called 90im-switch. However, when you upgrade, the earlier script is not removed. Result: whatever is called by the script is called twice. The result can be, for instance, two sets of buttons in the systray.
