Hi,
according to upstream documentation[1], the browser.tabs.loadOnNewTab
option can be set so that a blank page (0) is displayed in a
newly-opened tab, but setting this option accordingly doesn't change the
default behaviour: the homep

Because that option is present in epiphany's about:config, and I didn't
find any documentation neither in the Help menu, nor on the website. Any
link that I could have missed is welcome.

It's still there, and is applied during the build, but I'm guessing it
needs updating to work with 2.18?

Yes, T've seen that the patch is applied at build time but it actually
semms to have no effect :(
