Package: xmms-midi Version: 0.03-4 Severity: normal
My apologies if I am misunderstanding Debian package-management, but I installed xmms-midi, and playing MIDI files resulted in no sound at all. Of course, this problem went away after I installed freepats. xmms-midi only recommends freepats, but I find it quite useless without it. Wouldn't it be more user-friendly if it would actually depend on freepats? -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages xmms-midi depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib1.2 1.2.10-14 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk1.2 1.2.10-18 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets fo ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-4 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxi6 1:1.0.1-3 X11 Input extension library Versions of packages xmms-midi recommends: ii freepats 20060219-1 Free patch set for MIDI audio synt -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
