Package: fetchmail Version: 6.3.6~rc3-1 Severity: normal When I boot my system in 'single' mode, the fetchmail daemon starts up. This is not what I would expect; only the bare necessities should run in single mode.
There is no link to /etc/init.d/fetchmail in /etc/rcS.d, which is good. I strongly suspect the daemon gets started by the script installed in /etc/resolvconf/update-libc.d/fetchmail. I use resolvconf (1.37) which by default starts in 'single' mode.
